Mud Jug

Mud Jug History

The name “Mud Jug” has a history in our north central Mississippi county. It was the name of a pottery shop here in Winston County around the late 1800's owned by George T. Crowell, Mary's great-grandfather. The shop then was called the Mud Jug Factory and one can still find in local antique stores pottery that he made for the community. The mugs used in the Mud Jug are reminiscent of the look of his pottery.

The Mud Jug Coffeehouse grew out of passion for fine coffees, organic foods, gourmet products and a need for great coffee drinks and fruit smoothies in our community. From authentic espresso, we offer an array of coffee drinks, both hot and cold--cappuccinos, lattes, breves, frappecinos--and offer flavored syrups to enhance whatever taste that you want to experience. We sell coffees whole bean or we'll gladly grind it for you. Taste the difference in well executed coffee.
